1966 Nissan Canada opens an Ontario regional office
1970s
1970 Datsun (owned by Nissan) becomes the number one selling import in the country
1971 The 100,000th Datsun reaches Canada
1974 The 260Z 2+2 and 710 models are introduced
1980s
1980 Nissan Canada headquarters moves to the business heartland of Ontario as staff grows to 250
1983 Debuting late in the year, the 1984 300ZX becomes the first model to carry the Nissan name in Canada
