Nissan Canada Foundation
Celebrating 30 years of giving
Established in 1993, the Nissan Canada Foundation is celebrating 30 years of giving to those in need across the country.
A core tenet of Nissan’s corporate vision is to improve the quality of life in communities in which the automaker operates. Aligned
with Nissan’s three chosen areas of focus: the environment, education, and humanitarian relief; the Nissan Canada Foundation
establishes lasting partnerships ensuring its efforts lead to long-term tangible differences in people’s lives.
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Food Banks Mississauga and Habitat for Humanity are long-standing partners of the Foundation. And
with today’s increased cost of living and rising food prices affecting audiences across the country, the Nissan Canada Foundation is
proud to support additional national food partners that are making a difference to alleviate this growing concern.

A Great Place to Work
Our One Culture Team’s focus is our employees, and creating a culture where everyone is celebrated. We do that by gathering employee feedback and developing action plans to make our company even better. And the effort put into making Nissan Canada a welcoming and rewarding place to build a career hasn’t gone unnoticed. For the last six years running, we’ve been awarded a Great Place to Work certification – and we have every intention of making it seven.
Best Workplaces in 2023
While being Great Place to Work-Certified™ is already quite the achievement, we’re incredibly proud to also be named one of the Best Workplaces in Ontario and Best Workplaces in Manufacturing for 2023.
Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness 2023
At Nissan, we’re committed to promoting the mental well-being of every employee. That’s why we’re honoured to be on the Great Place to Work® 2023 roster of Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness.
Life at Nissan
Embracing diversity
At Nissan, we want to do more than just celebrate diversity. We are changing our corporate culture and the way we work to ensure it
is representative of all our employees. We want to make sure each member of the Nissan family feels like they can bring their
authentic self to work. We create opportunities for our employees through networking, executive chats, anniversary celebrations,
employee spotlights, volunteer opportunities, mentorship, donation drives and much more. The goal is to ensure everyone has a
voice, and the ability to shape life at Nissan – together.
Nissan Canada & Accelerate Auto
In 2022, we signed a 3-year partnership with Accelerate Auto to support awareness initiatives and education programs to attract, develop, and promote Black talent in Canada's automotive industry.
Internship program
We are committed to building and fostering the next generation of talent. This begins with our internship program, which focuses on creating career opportunities in a supportive and collaborative business environment.
Learning and development
Our learning and education programs ensure that employees have the skills and knowledge to be and bring out the best in themselves and others. The program helps us build and maintain a respectful work environment by demonstrating how understanding, valuing and leveraging differences is key to competing in an ever-changing marketplace.
Business Synergy Teams
All for one
Business Synergy Teams (BST) connect diverse groups of employees with shared interests into high-functioning groups. These BSTs
focus on supporting the members’ achievements and professional goals through educational events, networking and workplace
celebrations. Since the first BST launched in 2007, Nissan employees have embraced these groups with more participation,
engagement and events every year.

Empowering new generations
Nissan partners with a number of post-secondary institutions in order to offer meaningful opportunities to deserving students. For the trades, we established a parts donation program that provides hands-on learning materials. For early education, we support STEM programs at low-income schools to inspire the next generation to pursue science, technology, engineering and math. We also support post-secondary students by offering scholarships at Georgian College Automotive School of Canada.
