Nissan Autonomous Driving
In autonomous driving mode, the Nissan IMs Concept features hands-free operation. Switch into manual mode, and it delivers the exciting, high-performance driving experience that only an advanced electric vehicle can provide. Plus, when you’re sitting back to relax, the headlights and rear combination light turn blue, along with other exterior lighting that travels from front to rear. That helps notify pedestrians and other drivers of the concept’s autonomous status.
An Electrifying Drive

The IMs’ electric powertrain consists of dual electric motors at the front and rear. It also has a fast-charging 115 kWh battery that generates up to 483 horsepower (360 kW) and 590 lb-ft of torque (800 Nm). When it comes to range, the IMs can travel an estimated 612 km on a single charge. That puts it on the same playing field as its gas-powered counterparts – without the emissions. [[415]]

With its standout exterior, the IMs transforms the styling of a traditional sedan into a vehicle with provocative proportions, sporty character and excellent aerodynamics. Unique to Nissan, it seamlessly marries futuristic high-tech qualities with timeless Japanese accents.
Capturing Light and Shadow
The IMs exterior is finished with a special Liquid Metal paint that’s meant to suggest minerals on the moon. Inspired by the Japanese kimono, the qualities of this colour enhance the concept’s unique sculptural form with subtle shifts in gradation.
Impressive From Every Angle
To emphasize its Japanese character, a traditional Japanese Asanoha geometric pattern has been applied in gold over the smoked glass roof. This same pattern appears throughout the cabin and on the wheels for a cohesive look that captivates the eye.

Functional Space
Dominating the rear space is the innovative Premier Seat. Made for first-class comfort, this oversized centre seat emerges from the three-across rear seat when the outboard positions are folded. Its delta-shaped design is ideal for executive travel, providing more room for the occupant to maximize their time on the go.
Contrast In the Details
The IMs interior uses a darker colour treatment to contrast the lighter, simpler exterior. Here, the instrument panel and doors are covered by woven black material with fabric gold mesh accents. More gold details extend throughout the space, enhancing the look and feel. Inspired by traditional Japanese tatami rooms, they add elements of light for a serene, relaxing journey.
